We the University of Toronto Mississauga Athletic Council (UTMAC) aim to promote the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle, as it pertains to a thriving university experience. As the elected representation for all the undergraduate students at the University of Toronto Mississauga, UTMAC takes great pride in providing opportunities for both our athletic and non-athletic students alike. UTMAC encourages those who are energetic, enthusiastic, and who want a piece of the action, to support our mission and become part of our team. This ensures that student needs will be addressed accordingly.
To promote growth, development of the University of Toronto Mississauga varsity athletics and recreation and to promote athletics, health and wellness in the interest of the students
To act on behalf of its members to assist the University of Toronto at Mississauga Centre for Physical Education in the delivery of a variety of athletic and recreational programs, encouraging the widest possible range of participation and enjoyment.
To promote participation in recreation, general fitness and athletic excellence among its members, contributing to a well-rounded and integrated educational experience.
To promote the rules of fair and inclusive play, respecting the rights, needs and values of all of its members.
To assist the University of Toronto Centre for Physical Education in providing members with opportunities to develop volunteer and leadership skills
To advocate for student-athletes and non-athletes alike while actively improving the overall quality of the University of Toronto Mississauga varsity athlete program and experience.
The University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Varsity program takes an athlete-centric approach to its sport development, offering student-athletes academic and health support services, as well as providing assistance for student-athletes to thrive and achieve their goals both in the classroom and in competition.
